AKC PARENT BREED CLUB FOR THE ENTLEBUCHER MOUNTAIN DOG

2008 Maifest in Leavenworth

Again a wonderful time was had by all. The weather was a bit iffy but we were lucky and managed to get in all our activities between the rains.

This year we had 7 Entles to compliment the Berners and the Swissies. Of course the little ones stole the hearts of the kids along the parade route.

The Wilsons with Bella and their new addition Addie, Edna Bond with Tobie,The Thom's with Jett, the Raphanels with Gidget and our token Swiss cow Rottie - Tosca and myself with Sassy and the Berner wannabe Chips.

We had one Entle Spectator too - Moe from Seattle - hopefully next year they will take part in the parade. The audience all cheered when all the dogs came into view…- it's been ten years now - what would they do without the beloved Swiss dogs in the parade!!

The Best outfit went to Elaine Wilson and she and her husband David looked like Hansel and Gretel...just perfect.

Coral and David made some wonderful prizes and we had winners in all breeds. The sock game was of course the hit but we did the Hotdog Toss and Bella and Tobie - the Entles- scooped the top spot.

The Doggie games were a hoot!

Jan Vincent made another fabulous Quilt and we raffled it off after the Doggie Games. All the Proceeds will go to the either the EUS study or the website. The Winner was Susan Downing-Thompson of the Seattle Club and everyone was happy that she did. Susan has worked hard for the last 10 years coordinating everything for Maifest for the Seattle Club.

All and all it was another wonderful experience for everyone who attended. We have all booked in for next year but it would be great to get some more Entles there…so think about it for next year. It's always the Mother's day weekend in May. Check out our Website soon and we will have some more info and pictures on it.
