NEMDA has been named the official Parent Breed Club for the Entlebucher Mountain Dog!

NEMDA petitioned the AKC to change the Entlebucher’s official Breed Group designation FROM the Working Group TO the Herding Group. AKC staff met and APPROVED this group RE-designation recently!

If your Entlebucher is already enrolled with the AKC/FSS, AKC is currently converting your registration from your previous Working Group to a NEW Herding Group number (each breed group’s beginning letter and number combination). You do NOT need to do anything. Very shortly, you will automatically receive a NEW certificate in the mail. Your new Herding Group number will be the ONLY number you use to enter any shows or look up your dog's AKC information & records online. If you are planning to enroll/register your Entle with AKC/FSS you will automatically receive a proper Herding Group designation number.
