Breeding Philosophy: Our Kennel name Air Dog Entlebuchers , comes from the years my husband and I spent Dock Diving with our Labrador Retrievers. Our Labs were big strong athletic girls. One of our Labs died prematurely from cancer. Her nephew owned by our son, died of the same cancer six months later. This brought home the importance of careful breeding.

During my two terms as Treasurer of NEMDA, I learned so much about our Breed and the efforts being made by NEMDA’s members to breed mindfully to ensure the health of our pups. Diversity, health history, and soundness are of upmost importance.

decision to acquire and now breed our boy, Woody, is an example of critical breeding considerations. Woody’s parents are prime examples of well thought out breeding. Our goal for Woody is to continue this path of mindful and proper breeding.
