Taking place at the beautiful Kentucky Horse Park in Lexington, KY, as part of the 5-day Bluegrass Classic Cluster,
Join us to celebrate our Entles at the 2026 NEMDA Entlefest and National Specialty in Lexington, Kentucky. We will have two days of activities at Jacobson Park including CEBA, a blood draw for the OFA DNA Repository, a light-hearted Ring Ready Handling Class and an afternoon of dog games and activities, including a canine mentalist! On the business side, NEMDA will have its Annual General Meeting served up with pizza! We’ll also be dining at dog-friendly restaurants.
The Bluegrass Classic offers a conformation show every day culminating with not one, but for the first time, two NEMDA Specialties! Both the Regional and National Specialties will have Sweepstakes to be held on Saturday, August 29, complete with monetary prizes for the winners. Do you have a new puppy? The Classic is also offering 4–6-month puppy classes. A great opportunity for both you and your puppy to try out the show ring and so much fun to watch all those squiggly pups!
Bring your youngsters along! There will be an Itty Bitty Plush Puppy Class on Saturday for children 5 and under to show off that special stuffed toy and a Pee Wee Class for those 5-9 years old who want to go in the ring with their (real) dog, accompanied by a parent.
Not showing? Come cheer on our Entles in the ring! Check out the Agility, Obedience, Dock Diving, FastCAT and more! There will also be Trick Dog, Canine Good Citizen, Fetch, Farm Dog and Temperament Testing. Cardiac and Eye clinics, along with ICSB sperm collection will also be available. Or just do some doggie shopping at the many on-site vendors!
Need a break from dogs? There’s plenty to explore in the Lexington area starting with the Kentucky Horse Museum on the Kentucky Horse Park grounds. Further afield there’s the Daniel Boone National Forest to explore and horse farms and distilleries like Jim Beam. Nearby Points of Interests & Field Trips.
