PAST ENTLE DAYS - STORIES AND PHOTOS
Northwest Entle Gathering, Sequim, Washington

On the weekend of August 22-23rd five Entles and their families gathered at the home of Ron and Sue Thom in Sequim, WA for a Northwest Get Together. Sunny skies and pleasant temperatures greeted all. Just as the people enjoyed meeting, greeting and getting to know one another, so did the Entleʼs.
Following a group photo, the leashed Entles and their families took a short walk to Jamestown Beach. Once there, the leashes were removed and the dogs were free to explore. For a lot of the Entleʼs and their owners, it was the first time to be off leash at a beach-a real trust building exercise. Most stayed near their owners. However, a few were more adventuresome, testing the water, sniffing duck blinds, and digging in the sand.
All built up an appetite walking to and from the beach and exploring it. It was time for a BBQ. All dogs patiently waited to be fed. This happened after the humans ate . Loves and hugs were given to the dogs while the meat was cooking. Luckily for the dogs, the humans did not eat all the hamburger meat or hot dogs. They became treats rewards for the games that followed- Sit and Wait, Stay-Food Toss Game, and The Sock Bandana Game.
On the following day, we drove to the nearby Dungeness River Levee. Unfortunately, most were not able to stay for this. For those who stayed, it was a pleasant walk along the the Levee that was bordered on one side by a Dairy. and the other side the Dungeness River. The dairy cows were grazing in the pastures. Upon spying the cows, some of the Entles were most interested in checking out these strange creatures and were a little frustrated that they were on leash.
All in all everyone had a good time. We all look forward to meeting again soon.

Bay Area Entle Day
The Bay Area Entle Day is usually held in the early fall. Held at History Park in San Jose, Bay Area Entle Days usually feature doggie games, a guest speaker or skill-building activity, lunch and a raffle. Hosted by Sarah Puckitt and other Bay Area NEMDA members.
Note: Since Entlefest is in Lake Tahoe this fall (2009), the Bay Area Entle Day will be postponed or cancelled altogether.

BucherBash!
BucherBASH! is a weekend event intended to be a relaxing get-together of Entles, their people, and other dogs within their family, and has been scheduled for a summer weekend alternate years. Gina Thomas & Kathy Marshall are the event hosts at their farm in Veneta, Oregon. Families are encouraged to camp out on the farm. The weekend includes non-competition activities include a trip to the beach, games, hiking.
